ALAN-MICHAEL PROJECT 

Contemporary Electronic Music 

I never set out to be a musician. I am an Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Electronics, and no one in my family ever pursued music. Yet as a child I had a deep connection with the guitar, later with the piano, though I never imagined “making” music. In high school, my teacher told us most of the class—including me—had no musical talent. I believed her, and perhaps that memory has fueled my determination to prove otherwise.

Since 1986, creating music has become my daily ritual. After finishing my work, I enter the studio where my mind transforms and begins to compose. Living in the desert of Northern Mexico feels like existing “at the edge of the Universe”—far from the musical centers of the world, “far from Paradise.” Electronic music inspires me because it opens alternate worlds in my imagination. Synthesizers, computers, audio processors, and MIDI have been my chisels and brushes, the tools with which I sculpt sound. Today, AI has added a new dimension to this creative process.

My journey has always been solitary. Surrounded by synthesizers, drum machines, and specialized software, I work as if in a laboratory—electronic music is, in many ways, music of the laboratory. This work I now share with you is my way of filling the emptiness we all carry, helping the mind to fly and endure reality. I believe every creative act carries responsibility: to place quality thoughts into the world. That is why the phrase “Better Music for a Better Humanity” defines my purpose.
